Using a network shared drive to store an excel file with a tab to track projects and a bunch of other tabs to store and manage data seemed a little 90’s to us. However, that’s how the company we worked for collaborated on everything the core couldn’t handle. The company has a large development staff focused, rightfully so, on their core; but this left business users without the tools necessary to run their teams using the creativity and efficiency ingrained as part of the company’s entrepreneurial culture. Despite the company’s success, we recognized the need to create more flexible and easy IT solutions, allowing the user to take control of their department and free up IT brain power to strategically grow the core. Talking with our friends at other companies, even tech companies, this is a common occurrence.

So, seeing the problem, we separately developed an initial version of molti that combined project management, file management, and the ability to create reportable databases on the fly. All of this can be done by a business user, without any technical skills. After some shadow alpha testing, we pitched the solution to the owners (very sharp and generous people by the way) and they loved the idea, offered us the option to quit our day jobs to focus on molti full time, even financially backing the new company.

Which brings us to today. After 18 months of development, the platform is ready to bring instant solutions to any business. We think it’s silly that companies are either stuck working with multiple vendors and patching these solutions together or are forced to implement any change through IT, which will prioritize ideas that are driving company directives with less emphasis on the user. Businesses need options. We are a platform that gives you the tools to build custom solutions quickly, eliminating the need for so many vendors. And we mean you, not some developer, but actual users with business acumen (obviously, we exclude developers with business acumen, but if you are reading this you’ll want to use molti too).

We are continually enhancing the platform’s current features and even creating new ones, such as our quiz and survey apps. As we grow, so will the platform.
