Here at molti, we’re continually looking for ways to improve our product. That’s why when we received feedback on forms and reports from our users we knew we needed to make some changes.

INTRODUCING… A NEW HOME FOR FORM AND REPORT BUILDERS

You can now build forms or reports directly in their respective tabs! What does this translate to? Less time spent clicking around and more time getting things done.

Efficiency is a core concept that we embrace with molti. We want our platform to be easy to use so you don’t have to spend valuable time navigating; in the spirit of Thomas Jefferson, “why use two webpages when one will do?” This update is a step in the direction of growing molti to become a more streamlined product with less noise and more functionality.

With this update, to create a form or report just navigate to the respective tab and use the “Add” button. Want to make changes later? Open form templates by clicking on their name on the form page, or open report templates by clicking the wrench icon next to the report you want to edit.

MORE FLEXIBILITY WITH OPTIONAL FORM AND REPORT GROUPS

We’ve also changed how “Groups” function. Before this update, forms and reports had to exist in groups. This helped to keep builders organized, but ultimately it limited the functionality of the platform. To pull information into a report, that report and form needed to belong to the same group. As most of our molti builders know, sometimes the way you start building something doesn’t get you to the destination you want. Since flexibility is one of our credos we knew we had to update how the system works. This update saves user’s time since they no longer need to rebuild forms or reports into new groups when their plans change.

Now forms and reports are fully flexible! You can still use groups to help keep things organized but it’s entirely up to you. Information that’s stored in a form can be pulled into a report, regardless of group. As long as the form and report exist in the same workgroup, they can talk to each other.

We hope this gives you a little insight into what changes were made and more importantly why we made them. We’re continually evaluating our product and looking to improve our user’s experience. This is just one of many updates yet to come! Happy building!
