Forms are a great way to collect and store information! But sometimes when you're collecting a lot of similar information, such as, names, phone numbers, email addresses... it can be confusing to find the field you want when you build a report.  That's why we've included reference labels (or 'Ref Label') as an optional tag you can add to individual form fields.

By using Reference Labels you can display any label that you want within the form when collecting information, and an additional reference label tag in the form builder when you're building reports.

To add a Reference Label to a field:

  1. Open the Forms  page and locate the form you want to edit.  Open the form editor by selecting the form by its name.

  2. Add a new field, or open the field you wish to edit.  You can open the field by selecting the gear icon in the top right corner of the field.

  3. On the 'Edit Form Field' screen enter information for the "Ref Label" that lets users know some more specific information about the field.

In this example, we're collecting the first name of the first applicant.  So in the form we'll display "First Name" but in the Report Builder, it will also display the reference label "First Name, Applicant 1" for additional details.

  4. Add any additional settings that you want and then select "Apply".
  5. Go to the Reports  page and create a form report.  From here you will see the          additional "Ref Label" that gives you additional details about the form field when          you're building the report.
