How to create a workflow

A guide to creating workflows and how to get started.

You've decided what you want to manage in molti.  The next step is deciding how you want to manage your projects.  With workflows, you can build your process in molti so you can track your project progress.

To create a workflow:

  1. Navigate to the Workflow Builder  in the left-side navigation menu.

  2. Click + Add  option in the top right corner.

  3. Name your Workflow and click Create Workflow .

  4. To create statuses, enter a status name and select + Add .

  5. To add tasks to a status, locate the status in the workflow and select the Add task  button in the status.

  6. Enter the 'Task name' and any other necessary information.

  7. Repeat this process as many times as you want to create multiple statuses and tasks.  

Congrats!  You've created your first workflow.  😃  Now you can add workflows to your projects from the 'Edit Project' page.

🚀 Pro tip: If you belong to multiple workgroups, you should check what workgroup you're in before you create a workflow.  If you only have a personal workgroup this may not be necessary.  However, if you are collaborating with other users in their workgroups or you have a business account with multiple workgroups under a single company you need to confirm your location.  Remember, information in molti is separated by workgroups and can only be accessed by users invited to that workgroup or project.  Read more here to brush up on workgroups.
