Congrats on signing up for an account! Step one- ✔️

Once you sign in, you will be taken to the home page that displays all the workspaces and teams you can access. Simply click on the team you would like to go to!

NOTE: If you were invited to collaborate within a team or workspace you first need to accept the invitation by clicking the link in the email or internal notification.

You will be able to create your own workspace that will act as the administrative level. Within this workspace, you can build out your teams. Everything you build is stored in the tea, that you build it.  So keep this in mind as you work in molti!

Next up, you should decide 'what' you want to manage, and 'how' you want to manage it.

Projects

To get started using molti for project management, you'll need to decide 'what' you will be managing.  This will be your project.

  • Are you using molti to organize a real estate transaction? Then your project might be the property.

  • Do you want to plan a trip for your family this summer?  Then your project may be 'Beach Vacation'.

  • Are you looking for a better way to manage your companies' vendor approval process? Then it would make sense to create a project for each vendor.

This should be your starting point, but don't worry! Molti was made to be flexible, so if your projects change you can make these updates on the fly!

Once you decide 'what' you want to be managing you can create your first project:

  1. Log into your account and go to the Projects page.

  2. Click + New Project option in the top right corner.

  3. Give your project a name and if you'd like add a workflow or project description.

  4. Select Create Project.

Workflows

Now that you know 'what' you want to manage, you should think about 'how' you want to manage.  These processes are your workflows.

Molti lets you build your process into our system so you don't miss a step.

Let's go back to our vendor approval example.  You know that first you need to request bids, review documentation, get contract approval and then continue ongoing reviews.  Molti's workflow builder lets you create those statuses and even add specific tasks that must be completed along the way.

Once you decide 'how' you want to be manage a project you can create your first workflow:

  1. Navigate to the Workflows in the left-side navigation menu.

  2. Click + New Workflow   option in the top right corner.

  3. Name your Workflow and click Create Workflow .

  4. To create statuses, enter a status name and select Add .

  5. To add tasks to a status, locate the status in the workflow and select the +Add task button in the status.

  6. Enter the 'Task name' and any other necessary information.

  7. Repeat this process as many times as you want to create multiple statuses and tasks.

Now that you know what you want to manage and how you want to manage it, you should be ready to put molti to work!
